Our art skills courses, classes, workshops & taster sessions cover 4-key areas to support students to develop their art skills so that they turn into well-rounded creative artists – whether for their own enjoyment or with ambitions to exhibit and sell work. 
Water study in acrylics- Thurs 23rd or Fri 24th October
This is the week when we do a study – a preparatory or practice piece that helps us to understand specific elements. Although the primary goal of a study is learning and skill development, you will come away with some finished pieces – a dramatic whale’s tail in a vast ocean and a crashing wave. The focus will be on exploring movement, light reflection and brush techniques to capture the energy and flow of water. We’ll look at how to layer colour for depth and use highlights to suggest motion and surface texture.
