We will examine a small section of a larger image and reinterpret it at an enlarged scale using oil pastels. By isolating and magnifying a fragment—perhaps part of a floral display, a fruit or natural texture—we will explore how recognition blurs into abstraction. The aim is to encourage close observation, creative interpretation, and expressive mark-making, while learning how scale and cropping can shift narrative and impact.
